 “When I was in elementary school, I was picked on by this kid a year older every morning at the bus stop. On picture day, he pushed me down so I jumped on his back and got into a scrape. My father taught me to box after that day. – On when he learned how to box.“;

 “I’m all about nightlife. I live during the night.”

 “Film these days, however the stage gave me my start and I still love to perform in front of a live audience.” – On what kind of acting he prefers.

 “Jack Nicholson is my idol.”

 “Before I started my career in tv and film, the way I felt most comfortable expressing my feelings was through writing songs. It’s the best way to express emotions.”

 “I haven’t been in Texas that entire time, I get my accent from my family.”

 “My hair’s naturally curly. It’s also naturally brown, so they dyed my hair for the part. They tried straightening it, and it came out looking awful.”

 ““Walking around in real life as a blond is a little bit different, I’ve got to say, I don’t know if I’ve been having more fun, but it’s not bad. … I’m a hat guy. I wear hats all the time anyway, so I’ve just been wearing a hat, double time.”

 “When I was talking to my family about the auditions and this book that I was reading, I was saying how my little sister might like it because my little sister is 13 years old. So I kind of recommended it, but my mother said that a bunch of her little friends had read the books and then it turned out that a bunch of my cousins had read the books. And as soon as I booked the job, I found out that pretty much everyone I knew had read it! The thing is that my cousins are not tweens – they’re girls with law degrees with husbands. They work. It’s amazing how one book is so accessible to everyone!”

 “I used to want to be a vampire when I was young. It’d be great, you know? Run around at night, never die, kill people. It sounds like a great life!”

 “I stay away from Facebook and MySpace. Whenever I go out with a friend, they’re like ‘I didn’t know you had a MySpace.’ I don’t have a MySpace. There’s actually three MySpaces for Jackson Rathbone. I don’t know who these people are but they’re not me!”

 “When it comes to my sisters’ boyfriends, I’m either cool with them or my sisters know that I hate them. I’m pretty blunt with them and to the point. Back in high school, there were a couple of boys my sisters had and man, I let them know I didn’t like them. I was pretty upfront but my dad always had it right. Whenever my sisters brought them over to the house for the first time, he’d be teaching me how to clean the shotguns.”

 “I miss Texas so bad. That’s the hard part about being out here in L.A., trying to pursue acting and music and lighting and production and stuff. It takes a lot of time out from your personal life, and I can only get back to Texas three times a year at most. It’s tough.”

 “We had a lot of weather issues on the set of Twilight. One day we really needed the clouds to cover the sun, so we started doing a cloud dance, initiated by our director. We started dancing around and the extras really got into it. The entire set was dancing. And a few minutes later the clouds came, so it might’ve worked.”

 “I think most of my ex-girlfriends were vampires — the evil kind — and didn’t tell me!”

 “Lust tastes like tequila and love tastes like whiskey. Love burns for longer and warms you up on the inside and sometimes it makes you do stupid things. Tequila makes you wasted. You can get wasted on lust and warmed by love.”

 “We couldn’t have a better audience. They’re so supportive and they’re so into these films  and these characters. It helps us bring life into it because we know there is much love there. We want to do them justice so we work twice as hard.”

 “The kid is just kind of like ‘Young Hollywood.’ He’s 17 now and I know he’s that young and he looks pretty young, but he has this ability to smile, shake your hand and look you straight in the eye and he’s a very, very grown up soul.” (Jackson on Taylor Lautner)

 “Honestly, I’ve been wanting to do that scene ever since we were filming Twilight. That’s one of the reasons I portrayed Jasper the way I did in Twilight, just kind of holding back everything so that in New Moon it’s such a difference in his character. You get to see the beast let  go, the demon inside of him go forth. It was a lot of fun. It was basically kind of keeping myself in check and letting myself go!”
